How you end a presentation is just as important as how you start it.  How unfortunate that a lot of strong presentations just collapse at the end because the speaker closes with a lack of inspiration saying things like 'That's what I wanted to tell you' or 'Are there any more questions?'. (After which, by the way, there is usually a painful silence).

How can this be better? And why is it so important to finish your presentation in a good way?

When you're going to give a presentation, you put a lot of time into the preparation: you collect the content, pour it into a structure, make clear slides and you might also think of a strong opening sentence. But we often forget that our story is much more convincing if we can end it in a powerful way.

After all, research has shown that there are two moments when the audience's attention is peaking: at the beginning of your presentation and indeed... at the end!

So the last words of your presenation have a big impact and will last longer.

That is why it is so important to repeat your main key messages at the end of your presentation. What do you want people to remember? What message do you want them to take home? Mix this information in your ending and you kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
